Nineteen community groups, schools and organisations from across Australia have received more than $175,000 in funding to help improve their local communities and the environment.
Water and waste management company SUEZ announced the successful applicants for the 2017 SUEZ Community Grants program which provides funding up to $15,000 for individual community and environmental projects.

“From sustainable gardens and sun shades in children’s playgrounds to water saving initiatives, this year’s applications have once again demonstrated how important grass-roots organisations and projects are to our local communities,” Mr Venhoek said.
“We have really seen this year’s applicants show a real commitment to making the environment and their community a better place through a number of really creative and eco-friendly initiatives,” he said.
In its fourth year, the SUEZ Community Grants program has provided more than $575,000 to organisations across Australia, contributing to stronger communities and a healthier environment.
“The SUEZ Community Grants Program really shows us how many people really care and are ready to take action to improve the world they live in. It’s great to be once again contributing to our local communities and we look forward to seeing the results of this year’s recipients,” Mr Venhoek added.
