The Upcycle Project
The Upcycle Project is a furniture / homeware recycling program that provides part time incomes for disadvantaged youth in Western Sydney whilst they gain work skills and experience to secure full time employment. The funding will provide ongoing support to the program.
Preloved wooden furniture and recycled materials are sourced for the creation of saleable items including refurbished retro furniture, innovative wall art, rustic candle holders, planter boxes and much more. The enterprise is staffed by unemployed young people (15 – 25 years old) that are guided in the business by an experienced project mentor.
Marist 180 are a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering people with skills, knowledge, practical support and encouragement.
