Community Garden Launch

The Milton Community Garden have recieved $10,000 in funding assistance to launch Milton's first Community garden at Gregory Park, Milton. 

The Milton Community garden will be accessible to the whole of the local community, including the suburbs of Milton, Auchenflower, Rosalie and Paddington, with targeted engagement with the students of Milton State School, refugee communities through Red Cross Milton and families struggling with mental health challenges through the Rosalie Baptist Church.

The garden will provide a “gathering place” of where all are welcome to contribute, one by one, creating a whole that serves together in providing multiple benefits to the whole community. 

The Garden will consist initially of 12 2mx2m raised garden beds and grow seasonal fruit and vegetables, with the addition of orchard trees as funding becomes available. The beds will include seats for students or garden members to sit and rest.
