SUEZ Community Grants

Creating a sustainable future

NSW - Little Explorers Playgroup and Kids Club

Working off the basis that responsibility for our environment starts with the very young; the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living will deliver workshops for over 800 children about the wonders of the natural environment through a series of interactive hands-on fun activities.

Aiming to develop environmental awareness and inspire participation in sustainable activities children, aged up to 12, will be involved in putting together worm farms, feeding chickens, gardening, recycling and reducing waste all through hands-on activities.

The $5,000 SITA community grant will encourage a new era of environmental champions in the Macarthur region through active engagement and positive behaviour change associated with environmental sustainability, recycling and resource recovery.

The Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living is a not-for-profit, community-driven organisation supported by local Macarthur Councils and the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust.
