SUEZ Community Grants

Supporting local communities for a better future

VIC - Touched By Olivia

Touched by Olivia are Australia's leading and award winning inclusive play experts. Together with the City of Casey, they will build the first inclusive playspace for the South East of Victoria, located in Marriott Waters. Lyndhurst.  The playspace will have an accessible design with wheelchair and bus parking, drop off zones, secure and fenced facilities, and accessible paths for mobility aids, inclusive play equipment, accessible toilets and change facilities.  All designed to create a healthier, more vibrant and inclusive playspace to encourage physical activity by children that may otherwise have limited opportunities.

The $5,000 SITA Community Grant will help construct the playspace which will attract up to 3000 visitors a week.

Rebecca Ho, Touched by Olivia Foundation CEO, said, "Touched by Olivia is thrilled to have received one of the first community grants from SITA. Without the support of organisations, we’re not able to build inclusive playspaces."

"We’re working hard to roll out the Livvi’s Place Network of Inclusive Playspaces across the country, and can’t wait to start building out project at Marriott Waters. This special place will include everyone, regardless of their age, ability or perceived differences. Livvi’s Place will be somewhere everyone can come to play."

The foundation believes that all children can lead healthier and happier lives, and it is their mission to advocate for an inclusive society, connected by play through our Livvi’s Place National Network of inclusive playspaces.
